Welcome. I'm Dr. Soliman Al-Tarifi, a consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon in Ramallah. For more than fifteen years, I have devoted my practice to safe, precise surgical care that combines the latest techniques with genuine attention to each patient.
My Path & Training
I completed my specialization in general surgery at Ain Shams University in Egypt, and I hold board certification from the Palestinian Medical Council in General Surgery, a Master's degree in General Surgery, and membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom (MRCS). This path gave me a strong foundation in laparoscopic surgery, bariatric and metabolic surgery, and gastrointestinal disease.
My experience spans a wide range of operations — from bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgery, to gastrointestinal, abdominal-wall, endocrine, and breast surgery, through to emergency cases. I always aim to choose the most appropriate approach for each case, guided by the latest scientific standards.

My Philosophy of Care
I believe successful surgery begins long before the operating room — it begins with listening. Every patient carries their own story, fears, and goals, and it is my role to explain the options honestly and clearly, and to choose what is best for the patient, not what is easiest. I always aim for the least possible intervention, the fastest recovery, and results that last — with follow-up that doesn't end when the operation does. Reassurance and trust are as much a part of healing as the scalpel.
